Eat What Feels Good

In future post (that I’ve been procrastinating writing for a month) I will explain why and the journey, but I am currently on a doctor prescribed 4 month keto diet.
After getting over the keto flu (feeling crappy while your body figures out how to live on ketones) I have felt really good.

Back up to any time I have tracked calories on an app to lose weight. I was always eating too much fat for the average human body. So I’d switch things up, reduce fat and calories, lose the  weight and feel absolutely miserable. Then I would stop tracking calories and gain all the weight back, but feel better.

Turns out my body really likes fat, and functions better on a higher fat diet. Who knew? My body apparently.

So here is my take away (in my very non medically qualified opinion). Eat what makes your body feel good. Not necessarily what tastes good and is your favorite tasting food (I’d be eating a lot of cookies and ice cream and chocolate if I just went by taste) but what your body feels good eating.  It really does know what it needs.
