The Time I Had an MRI

I have been experiencing shaking and fatigue in my hands. Holding onto things is difficult. Opening things has been almost impossible. I needed to thread a needle and that was a joke. Playing the piano has been exhausting for my hands.

After experiencing these symptoms for a few months, hoping they would magically go away, I finally expressed my concerns to my husband who encouraged me to go see my primary care doctor (go active Cheerleader)!

My primary care doctor is great. He is willing to do all of the tests. He is also very upfront and openly admits that he might not be able to find the answers. He ran a lot of blood work, which came back the best it has been in years (yay for being healthy and still feeling not healthy)!

The next step was to schedule an MRI, which insurance initially denied because my symptoms didn’t match the criteria of muscle weakness. (Ummm… That’s the whole reason I was having it, silly insurance people).

Insurance eventually authorized it, and I was able to get an appointment within a week. The results all came back normal except for one, and I quote”Included Sinuses: Mild nonobstructive paranasal sinus inflammatory mucosal thickening.”

I had an MRI , and it diagnosed me with a cold.
